A rustle from the brush
a flash of color,
a tiny creature in a rush;
little children run to see,
The tiny creature in a rush
first darts to cover
then back to the bright red feeder,
then turns and does hover.
The children squeal,
and name the tiny creature in a rush,
"that is Lisa," One does cry, little face all a flush.
"Tamara and Mia are sitting in the other tree" crys another;
The tiny creature in a rush,
bore patiently the inspection,
returning every day, from dawning until dusk,
then cold winds came,
Tiny Creature in a rush, did not return,
the children watched and waited,
"Grandma will they ever come back?"
"Shush, shush, perhaps they may." Granny soothed.
perhaps they may but if they don't I have photographic evidence that those hummingbirds were there!
So here are Tamara, Lisa and Mia or at least one of them!
(the other kids could tell which was which but I couldn't!)
Matthew 6:26
Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?
Isaiah 40:31
But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.

I love hummingbirds, and your poem.
